How the pot works

Three details from that loop matter more than they look. First, the contribution comes out of the game’s overall maths, not on top of it, which has consequences covered below. Second, the reset value, called the seed, is funded in advance, so a freshly won jackpot restarts at a meaningful amount rather than zero. Third, on networked progressives the pot is shared across many sites and games at once, which is both why the numbers get enormous and why your bet is one drop in a very large ocean.
