Updating Your Username

You can change your username from the Account tab in Settings. There is one thing to know up front: you can only change it once every three months, so choose carefully.

1.  Open your account menu and choose Settings, then stay on the Account tab.

2.  Next to the Username field, select the edit (pencil) icon.

3.  Enter your new username using letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores, then save.

Good to know

Choose something memorable. Your username is one of the ways you log in, so pick something you will remember.

Allowed characters only. Usernames use letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores. If the change will not save, check for any other characters.

The three-month limit is per change. After a change, the option becomes available again three months later.
