Terminating a Session

Signing out a device remotely

If you see a session you do not recognise, or you simply want to sign out a device you no longer use, you can end it from the Sessions tab in Settings. You can end one session at a time, or all other sessions at once.

Ending a session

Figure 1: each active session has a Log out action

1.  Open your account menu, choose Settings, then the Sessions tab.

2.  Find the session you want to end. Next to each active session (other than your current one) is a Log out action.

3.  Select Log out for that session. That device is signed out immediately.

4.  To end every other session at once, select Log out all other sessions at the top of the list.

If you spot something you don’t recognise

Seeing an unfamiliar session is a reason to act: log it out, then change your password, and consider enabling two-factor authentication. Together, these steps remove any unwanted access and make it much harder for it to happen again. Contact support if you are concerned.

Good to know

Your current session stays active. Logging out others does not sign you out of the device you are using now.

Log out all with one click. The Log out all other sessions button is the fastest way to clear everything except your current device.

A logged-out device must sign in again. Ending a session means that device has to log in afresh, with your password and 2FA if enabled.

Follow up with a password change. If you ended a session you did not recognise, change your password straight afterwards to be safe.
