What If I Cannot Access My 2FA Device?

Getting back in when your authenticator is unavailable

If you have two-factor authentication (2FA) switched on but cannot get a code, for example you have lost, reset, or replaced the phone with your authenticator app, there are still ways back into your account. Here is what to do.

Getting back in

Use your backup codes first. When you set up 2FA you may have been given backup or recovery codes. If you saved them, you can use one in place of an authenticator code to sign in.

No backup codes? Contact our support team through the official Flush.io site. They will verify your identity and help you regain access, which may include resetting or removing 2FA so you can sign in again.

Then set up 2FA again. Once you are back in, set up 2FA freshly on your new device so your account stays protected.

Support will never ask you to send a code

Flush.io will never ask you to share your 2FA codes, backup codes, or password, not even to help you recover access. Anyone who does is not genuine. Only ever manage 2FA yourself on the official site, through support’s proper identity checks

Avoiding this next time

Save your backup codes. Store the backup codes from setup somewhere safe and offline, so a lost phone never means a lost account.

Use a device you keep and back up. Set up your authenticator on a phone you control, and consider an app that lets you back up or sync your entries.

Re-enable promptly after any change. If you switch phones, set 2FA up again straight away so your account is not left on password-only protection.
